Our History and Future
PTC Construction’s history is inextricably connected to that of its parent company, Paterson GlobalFoods. Paterson’s experience in the construction business began in 1912 with the construction of Paterson’s first grain elevator, Elevator K, at Fort William, Ontario. Since then, Paterson has continued with the construction, repair, and maintenance of facilities, as well as a number of other projects. We have been involved in a number of innovations within the grain handling industry, including the use of loop tracks at grain terminals in order to minimize the time it takes to load a train. In addition, PTC oversaw the addition of flat storage to two Manitoba grain facilities, allowing Paterson Grain customers to deliver grain when market conditions are most favorable. Our skills and commitment to the industry run as deeply in Canada as the foundations of the facilities we construct.
Safety First
PTC Construction is committed to providing a safe workplace for our employees while maintaining the integrity of the environment around us. We maintain a comprehensive and continually evolving environmental, health and safety program for our employees commensurate with Provincial and Federal standards. We actively promote a culture of safety on our job sites and take a proactive approach to the elimination of work hazards and protection of the environment.
